In general use, Brompton bicycles don't tend to require a kickstand as the bike can be parked easily by unlatching the rear triangle for parking.

There are however circumstances where this is impractical and a kickstand can come in very handy indeed - particularly if you've loaded up the rear-rack.

That's where the kickstand comes in handy - easy to use, and neatly fitted on the bike, it in no way interferes with regular folding or riding, but adds a handy option that you can appreciate when you need it.
